It says it's for all hardcore freethinkers -- if you feel that you fall into that category, I'm sure he'd be happy to welcome you to the group. If you want, that is. It is kind of implied that everyone here either denies or questions the existence of God.

And whether or not that description is declaring those kinds of people to be better than others is debatable.

It's incredibly immature and piously pointless to join and comment on a website dedicated to freedom of RELIGION, freedom of PRESS, and freedom of EXPRESSION/SPEECH, if you are going to waste electricity on insulting someone clearly beyond your maturity level.
The point of being a christian is accepting those different than you, not trying to hassle them into being what you want them to be.
Trivia:
Who exactly is it that Jesus the Christ was friends with, and found acceptance with?
The sinners.
That's right.
Jesus loved sinners.
Did he tell them they were stupid for their way of life?
No.
And also, it is in the Commandments:
Thou Shalt Not Judge.
And what are you doing?
Judging us for who we are.
So, how christian is that?
Not very at all.
Why don't you keep your closeminded and unneeded comment to people who actually care.
And you obviously show you lack in the basic bible knowledge.
You don't have to be a genius to know where you are overstepping the bountries.
If you don't approve of atheists and agnostics, then don't visit our profile.
It's as simple as that.
Or are you just looking for something to nag?
And also, before you try to nag us, at least do your research first, or else you'll look like an imprudent waste of organs and epidermis.
Is that simple enough?

Study the inquisition.
Learn about the crusades.
Think about the Christian war stradegy in Bosnia '90's.
And there is no excuse for that.

So instead of bugging us, take out your little bible
And look at both sides, like an mature human instead of a hermaphrodital nomad.

Surely a Christian or other religious person can be a 'hard core freethinker'? Or be the most devious of deviants?
Please don't think I'm bashing- just expressing a concern that everyone is starting to think they are better than everyone else. And that clubs saying things like this are springing up is quite saddening. Maybe they are better? We don't know that. Saying things like 'religion is wrong' and such.. Everything is a matter of opinion.

Sure, make a club to celebrate who you are. But not to make yourselves out to be better than everyone else. It's segregation.

Not everyone has a damn skippy life as you do.
And honestly, I like to approach each religion just as you try to enforce yours down others' throats.

You featured my piece “An Explanation of My Atheism” a while back. I took it down and resubmitted it to deviantArt. The reason why I did this is fairly simple. The original piece that I wrote ( was much longer and had a bunch of side tangents that I felt required editing. As such, the newer version (which has been up for a month or so) looks substantially different than the original. Due to this editing, I have pages and pages of comments that are utterly irrelevant at this point or engage in discussions that are unrelated to the current piece. If someone is just now seeing the piece, I don’t want there to be confusion or weird side tangents for people to have to sort through in the comments section.

Tongue-in-cheek. It illustrates my sentiments regarding Christianity, which, obviously, are very negative.

I don't claim to be better than anyone. But I do dislike christians strongly. If they'd just keep their religon to themselves everything would be fine.

I prayed to God for my grandmother to get better and she did. When my cat ran away for three days, I prayed for his safe return and he came back. When a friend of mine was suicidal and cutting herself, I prayed for healing and she became a better person.

THAT is why I believe in God.

Last I checked, the Constitution still protects Freedom of Religion and Freedom of expression. Are you willing to go that far just because you don't agree with Christians?

You know, it's insults like that that keep Christians and Atheists from agreeing to disagree.

You claim to be better than Christians, yet most of what I hear from Atheists are petty insults and accusations for all the world's ills. Is it not enough to simply not believe and leave out the hostility?
